Does anybody on this forum use a wheelskin for their non-sports steering wheel?

I do. Takes about an hour to sew on, and is much cheaper (obviously) than another wheel. Makes the wheel thicker and nicer, I think.

Simply measure the diameter of the wheel and the circumference at its widest point (I think mine was 4" on the latter). I got black; warning--stay away from the multicolored ones--I had one in my truck (gray and black) and the gray came off after not too long--with specks and mess--to show light tan underneath.

I've used the black ones in two cars, and they work great. Good luck!

I was actually interested in the Euro Tone and I wanted to get red/black. I guess now I have to reconsider. Are there any other suppliers out there selling a similar product? I assume the new skin is just sewed over the steering wheel.

Go with Wheelskin, no probs. Yes, you simply overlay the new leather skin over your steering wheel.

As a tip, wear leather gloves when sewing, it'll help save your hands, and allow you to pull the thread snug for a tighter fit.

Will you be able to still retain your heated steering wheel function with the wheelskin on?

Good question. I imagine you will, but I wonder if the heat intensity will be slightly less due to the added Wheelskin layer. I'll let the others who have experienced this chime in.

Yup, I'll take a pic or two after I leave work later today (and after I mow the grass!).

Look for them around 7pm CST.

Ha! Nope, but I gotta do my housechores before I can spend time in the garage with my beloved e60--including taking/sending pics!
