Wheels/Rims for xi models

I remember there was some kind of limitation of what rims you can put on xi models, and I can't quite remember what it was - different offset?
A friend of mine is looking at 08 528xi, but doesn't like the rims, and wonders what he can replace them with - is there any specifics he needs to know?

If you look for +35 up front, and +33 in the rear (assuming 8.5 inch rims on the front, and 9.5 inch on the rear) your friend will be fine. If you troll the e90 (sedan) forums, you'll find lots of rims that fit nicely.

I swear it seems like every second day there is a thread asking about wheels or suspension on an XI. There should be a sticky on how to use search and XI wheel options lol

If he wants to keep replace it with stock wheels - the ones one the M-Sport Package of the E90 3 series are just gorgeous. I think they are wheel style 193M. For aftermarket there are plenty of choices - my favorites there are Beyern Mesh or Breyton GTS.
