I launched the car today, probably the last time before next spring, and I had massive wheel hop, I know why it happens and such, but I just want to know how bad for the car is it, it can't be good but occasionally you know?

Wheel hop = bad. You'll blow out your differential if you're not careful. Did you lower the tire pressure a bit in your rear tires?

Yeah, I launched it hard the one time it happened and just cringed, I disengaged the clutch right away and let off, but by then the damage was done, I'm just hoping I didn't do any lasting damage.

I suppose you have stickshift and I suppose you took the DSC off but...
In dragracing (not pro) you should ease the throttle as soon as the car starts "jumping"
Could you talk us thru what exactly happened?
