I need help. I found a great deal on a set of winter tires with wheels but I'm not sure if they'll fit on my 06 530i. Wheels are 16 x 8 with 15mm offset and tires are 235/60/16. They were used for e38 740iL. Does anyone know whether this will fit without any rubbing??? I need to make a decision by tomorrow afternoon. Please help!
thank you all

The offsets are fine however the tire size is not ideal. They have a circumference that is bigger (or taller) than recommended for the car. Also, your speedometer will be slightly off, lower than you are actually going by about 3 mph. So if you are going 60mph, the car's speedo will read about 57.

The overall diameter of the wheel and tire you are considering is about 1.3" - 1.4" taller than the usual sized setup...around 5% taller...not recommended.

You could have rubbing issues up front, because of the height difference compared to OEM recommended specs, but I am not certain. Sorry if that's not the answer you wanted. 235/55/16 would have been a better size for ya.

You can play with the #'s here: http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

Use 225/50/17 or 245/40/18 as a starting point for a typical tire size for the E60.

I looked at this calculator as well as few others. tire would be 1.25" taller, just under 5%. Still, I have no idea if it would fit. Looks that on slightly turned wheels I got about 1" clearance on each side between tire and wheel well which should accomodate new tires but I'm not 100% positive it would
One option would be to mount the wheels on the car and try it out but seller doesn't even have a garage and I don't think I want to do it out on a street in rain and cold plus with the jack that came with the car it would be pain in the neck ohh well, I guess I'll wait

I know a guy on here who went with 245/45/18 instead of 245/40/18 and he had no issues with rubbing, however that's only a 3% or so difference, unlike your close to 5%. I wouldn't risk it, personally.

What are the right offsets for 20" wheels to front and rear? I think that my tire sizes would be front 245/30-20 and rear 273/25-20 so should the width be 9" and 10" or could i use wider wheels whitout any body or wheelwell works? And is it possible use higher profile tires?
And i?am going to drop the car about 35-50mm so wheels and tires should work with the drop.

Car is 2004 e60 530d and wheel what im looking for are Rial daytona race if the wheel style does matters when you give me the important numbers.

I would be really glad if someone could tell me that, i have tried search this but without luck and i have to order new wheels in couple weeks and me time in this great site is limited work and tsuff... i hope you could help me

ps: sorry about my "rally english"...if you know what i mean.

Hey guys this is simple question and most of you have 20" wheels so what are right offsets for 245/30-20 and 275/25-20
And if possible to use higher profile tires with 35-50mm drop what they would be (size) and does offset change?

The OEM 166 M's, that are about the max for ET's and rim width for a E60, have the following measurements:

F: 8,5x19 ET12

R: 9,5x19 ET28
