LOL I picked it up from somewhere... I have an idea where... but not 100% sure... but I like it. P-Car...
Used because Porsche guards the use of its name zealously...for example a website with "Porsche" in its name will get a cease and desist letter from Porsche quickly. Shortcuts for the name are a way of getting around the company's legal oversight. P-car.com (one example) is a website set up by a 993 owner with all sorts of info about 993's.

I actually really like the Cayman... but it has to be the S. I really like the Cayman S. I was REALLY REALLY considering it. And if I knew before it was comming out... I would have probably gotten the Cayman S over the E60. I'll show you a pic tomorrow of how serious I was with the Cayman S... If I remember...
Consider this your reminder.........I want to see a pic of how serious you were!!

And I agree......it would be the Cayman S for me.........I think the more I look at it, the more I like it......but....I need to drive it....and, well.....my 550 is only 2 months old! I better wait a few more months!

QUOTE(Uk525i @ Jul 2 2006, 03:23 PM)

Saab 9-3 1.9 tid. I no longer need the space of 5 series & to be honest it has been a big dissapointment. Far too many problems for premium price.
My wife has SAAB, genuine 45+ mpg, comfortable, looks good & less issues.
I expect new 5 series is far better than my 2 year old, but I'm not going to risk it.
Thats my main point really, I notice your 5 is nearly new so I bet it is far better & more refined than my early 2004. Mines a prototype!. But I paid dearly for the 2004 & it is noisy & too harsh for me, I could get a new one but because of my bad experience I will switch brands. It was my 3rd BMW & the worst I have had. No loyalty here!
I am sorry to hear that.

Ya? that was my problem... I drove it. It was VERY NICE! Clutch feel, clutch engagement, Steering Feel, Steering Responsivness, Engine noise. ALL Oh SOOOOoooo wonderful. It beats all the BMWs I've driven. Which includes basically everything besides the E60 M5, E63 M6 and Z8. One complaint. It needed more POWER! hehe not that it was lacking... but I wanted more push me back in the seat feel. So close... so close... Well maybe in 2 years. They'll have a updated engine by then. I'm guessing 325hp. Wooooo Hooo.

There was a forum topic earlier about what other cars did u look at before buying your e60.

So now perhaps it would be nice to know what your next car would be? Same e60? Different engine? Diesel? a 7 series? ???
Good question. I have my car just six months so its not easy to envision something else. Pretty happy.

Here goes.

Maserati Quattroporte. Need a new job and approval from the wife. Also good behavior would have to be maintained for at least 4 years, which means at the earliest I'd start counting next Monday. An absolutely stunning sedan, IMHO a collectors item.

Ferrari 599. Lotto win necessary. Actually if this happened, my wife would require this choice.

Other brand? Don't think so. Although I might replace my A4 (B6) with the next version (B8).

A European Delivery F10 would be the call and the engine choice would be key. I generally prefer the most advanced engine, something with power and fuel efficiency. As it stands now, I'd opt for the direct injection turbo inline six but I'd expect something better in the future. A DI turbo 425 bhp V8 with similar mileage to today's V8 would be ideal. I'd look a bit at the diesels too.

A used 7 series wouldn't be bad either, although it seems too big. Too Bourgeoisie pig maybe as well. I still like em. The 3 series is too small and too much in circulation.

All that said, I think its better to drive a car for awhile, like 7 years. Its cheaper and, more importantly, waiting awhile will lead to a greater thrill in owing a new car in the future.

Just my two cents.

Got a Porsche 997 Turbo on order for March 2008 delivery (i need to wait that long for various reasons).

Will probably keep the M5 until then, but am curious as to what the new RS6 will be like, assuming Audi launch it.

@CVTbenhogan

Warning! Don?t get a Quattroporte! Like You said, it?s probably the most beautiful and stunning looking sedan in the world, but from hell to drive. A good friend of mine just gave his back to the dealer after two years of continous trouble. The car was at the dealership at least twice a month and back in the factory in Italy once. There were all kinds of problems, electrical, engine, transmission, You just name it... The SMG transmission is the worst gear I have ever driven, transmission slam is redefined here. Re-selling the car here in Germany showed to be just impossible, there is just nobody buying a used QP, You will lose lots of money fast.

It's officially going to be a manual black on black 330i m-sport with pro-nav - on order now for September delivery.

All the posts on here about the added engagement of a manual engine and the soundtrack of a high revving petrol block got to me ....

I'm thinking about the new 08 X6, if they really build and it looks like this:
