Everyone please correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think the equalizer settings play a role if logic 7 is on.
So, if you have set the bass to +6, your bass is raised by the EQ. The L7 is then deciding on the output, on which of the speakers how much of the sound is given.

Thanks Ice. I believe you, but I am surprised since, generally speaking, that's not how venue options work on home sound systems. I am going to test my L7 a bit more.

Just try to adjust the EQ while you're in concert hall or theater mode. You will hear, that the tone is changing. So, the EQ still works on all the channels. I think my example was not the best one, since the bass is mostly on the subwoofer. Anyways, the EQ still functions as allways, so L/ only directs the sound to the different speakers to create a virtual concert hall or theater.

Logic 7 basically just turns on the center channel speaker.
Theater places more bias toward the center channel, while Concert disperses more evenly across all the front speakers.
EQ settings are individual, and depend on the recording you are listening to.

Home systems are total different.

I've messed with this a bunch and believe that Concert Hall and EQ in a "v" sounds best.

Mine is set to off. I can't recall my actual equalizer settings, but they form something of an elongated U with with sloping sides. The U accentuates the lower frequencies a bit, dips below flat to decrease the harness of the mid ranges a bit, and then accentuates the highs a bit (the latter because of my loss of high-frequency hearing). With normal hearing, I seriously doubt that I would accentuate the highs.
Equaliser: I went for the elonggated U as well, rather than the V. (- Hope that makes sense?!)
Base/Treble setting: neutral (do it all via the EQ)
Love the surround settings in the car, but also use surround settings with my system at home (when listen to music). I know a lot of people who will only listen to music in stereo at home, which is also reflected in this voting about our car systems.
Will have another listen with the Concert Hall setting. Seems to be the popular choice...
