This morning this light popped up on my less than a mile commute to work lol but Drives normal. Yesterday had no problems, it was raining but never lost any traction or anything. Any ideas or an I seeing dollar signs in my near future?

DSC was turned off... you probably hit the button by mistake... if it had an exclamation point next to it (not in it) it would be a problem... I am sure its in your users manual (Before Luigi gets to you!)

It means something is wrong. Like maybe a bulb or whatever. Look down when you start your car it will tell u. Or u can hit the menu button on the turn signal lever.

Great for reference, Jason!

Either the DSC is off or your steering angle sensor (SZL) is going out. Check the iDrive for any control messages.

So I got in my car last night and pushed the DSC button - DTC illuminates... then I held the DSC button down and got the exact symbol the OP has - a triangle within a circle along with an exclamation point.... OP, you never said if the symbol came on again or ever went away. I am assuming its gone and you hit the button without realizing it.

Sorry not to attend to this matter earlier but I had to leave for a Board of Directors' meeting in Philadelphia. I promise to be more responsive in the future :notworthy:

To our OP - I suggest you download the owner's manual from this forum - https://5series.net/information/ - it's easier to search than flipping through the pages ... Where you'd find the following information:

If I turn off the DSC while driving in the city, does it help to reduce the gas consumption or something else?

I got this indicate light on once, when I accelerated after a traffic light.

DCS invokes only when complex technology and systems indicate it's needed ... you'll lose the benefit of "control" exactly when you need it most by disabling the system.

The DSC has no effect on mileage. It is a passive monitoring system. It came on at the light to tell you the DSC was braking one of your drive wheels since it was starting to spin. The system was doing its job at the appropriate time.
