My 05 545i has been rock solid however I sense a few maintenance items need to be done soon. How long should these items last?

Brakes, I still have my original brakes at 43k miles. I sense this is good for brakes huh?

Suspension components, shocks, bushings? I am starting to hear a slight thud over certain bumps that wasn't there before. Any ideas? I tend to hit the top of my 166 front wheels (pass side) once in a while. Wasn't this way last year.

Serpentine belt. How many miles or years am I to get out of this?

Battery, still orig one. When should this be replaced?

Thanks!

Vince

IMO barring some sort of early deterioration, everything should last till 100k or like 10 yrs. then it will all fall apart at once 43k thats good for brakes! and i believe thats why bmw includes parts like this in there maintance program, they last forever if u dont abuse them

With the exception of the belt, I wouldn't change any of the items you described unless they were in need of replacement or you want to upgrade. The serpentine belt should be checked every 15K miles or so and possibly replace every 45-60K.

What are these "arb bushes" you speak of and what made you replace them?
