What's the best payment methods for a private party that's secure? or u just taking chances hope for the best. Because I never deal with any private sale transaction online before. any input greatly appreciate

i'd do my homework and see who this person is. do they have previous transactions? feedback from other buyers? maybe have him take pictures of the wheels and a piece of paper with your name on it to show it's actually in his possession.

if you pay via paypal, paypal will normally cover your transaction if anything happens. if you pay by credit card and there's a problem, you can always call them and dispute the charge.

online purchase is actually very secure these days in terms of transmitting your data securely. what you usually have to worry about is the buyer. like i said do your homework and you should be fine.

paypal do cover a private transaction? my friend told me he call paypal said they only cover if you purchase anythings through Ebay not private party and I don't know if this is true.

that's not true. go read up on PayPal's policies.

paypal will cover you if you don't receive the wheels.

however, if the wheels arrive and they are not in the condition that was described (cracked, damaged, bad curb rash, bent rims, bad tires, etc...), you are out of luck. this is what they'll tell you if you try and file a claim:

We're unable to decide this claim in your favor at this time. PayPal's Buyer Complaint Policy applies to the shipment of goods but not to disputes about merchandise quality.

best way is to meet up with them if u r unfamiliar with the buyer.
