What's this for?

While giving the car a cleaning, I came across this loose connection. It's under the back passenger side seat. The tag wrapped around it says: BATTIEHAUPTSCHALTER. Any idea what this is for? It almost looks like a speaker connection.

Thats a battery cable for when the car is coming oversees or in a showroom I believe... I think its called a battery master switch. Its really of no use to you/us.

Damm! How depressing! And here I thought it was something good,like an iPod hookup or back seat DVD player.
