Cheap cupholders are an offense in a car of this price, lack of storage and compartments is amazing to me (Mercedes has it all over BMW in this category), position of the glove compartment - have you tried to open it while sitting in the driver's seat? - it's nothing short of gymnastics - inferior stereo quality overall and lack of immediate responsiveness on take-off.
Likes include the space, the quality finish and look, the I-drive (I know, I know, but once you learn it, it IS convenient), the smooth and tight ride, the responsiveness after you get going, and the handling, the surprisingly good gas mileage for a car of this size, averaging about 27 mpg. Best of all, two things - looking forward to starting it up in the morning and looking back at it after I get out and lock it.

Took delivery of 2008 M5 3/25/08 cf delete K&N filters, the rest stock.
I hate that the car makes me want to drive it all the time, and I just don't have the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I HATE the lousy jerking transmission in my car. Have an appointment with the regional tech next week, hope that he can get this taken care of. Gas peddle response sucks big time, and i know (glad) that there is the spintbooster.
