My Ride: 08 550 Carbon Sport Almost everything factory, but no sound upgrades.
1. Poorly, IMO, designed electrical system that was fixed by my buying, installing and remembering to plug in an aftermarket charger.
2. Busting up two 172s and three Conti tires. Fixed via my forthought to purchase tire replacemt program when I purchased the car.
3. Trading away Mrs. sixcard?s E90 for a peanut MINI and having to give her the keys to my E60. The only time she lets me drive is to put gas in it! Fornicate a fowl!
BTW, I love the MINI!

1. Two different coloured doors
2. Control module for central locking
3. Misfiring which turned out to be a goosed injector
4. Warped front Discs
5. Anti Jamm needing recalibrated
Baring in mind its a 2005 with 36,856 miles when we bought it used in May 09 it now has 40,189

I haven't been impressed with the BMW's air conditioning capacity...
I live in Dallas, Texas, and the heat doesn't play don't here- this heat wil even punk people from Phoenix (trust me on that)...
I know this car was engineered in Germany (So I expect it will have one Hell of a heater), but the AC is weak... In my Ford, it can be 106 outside, within 10 seconds of cranking it, I'm already getting cool air. With the Bimmer (way more stylish though it may be), I'm 2 - 3 block from the house before the first sign of air conditioning kicks in...
What it lacks in cooling though, is made up for with fan speed (once the air does cool off) that fan threatens to blow you out of the car.

#1 is an uncontrollable urge to find long, twisting, uncrowded, unpatrolled, roads. Most of my other problems have been: minor software issues; the transmission slam which I have not experienced in a very long time, but I know is still lurking in my Steptronic; and the most annoying of all was two cracked 124 rims. I would never consider trading these issues for another less problematic car that is less spirited. My e60 is like a high maintenance "bad girl" that I can't leave.

My worst problem was the FEAR of swirl flaps breaking, but they never got the chance to do it ...
If I would be a bastard I would write dealer and manufacturer names here....but I am hopeing that they will correct their mistake
