Whats with all you Audi lover's? They may look nice or have nice interiors, but they don't drive like a BMW, nothing drives like a BMW. Audi's are front heavy and more expensive to own.

Hmm, you might have a point there... I must admit, I haven't driven one yet... But the new ones do look nice.

My Ride: Black E60 M5
Default

When buying my M5 I looked at the RS4. In the UK they are approx the same price for 2006 model. The M5 is a lot more car for the money ?75k new whilst a RS4 would have been under ?60k.

With all the M5 toys as a fast passenger carrying saloon the M5 is better. However if you like a driver focused car its RS4 all the way. If you like the connectd feel of a manual box (although slightly loose feeling gear stick when changing) then the control you have over the Audi is better. The RS4 being lighter (still heavy compared to other cars) and Awd is much more sure footed in wet roads compared to the M5. I've had the back of the M5 step out on wet roads a few times, not drastic but you can see the traction control work a lot harder than other cars in the wet.

Next car? GTR or I'll wait for the EVO XII in a few years time.

When i was still trying to decided on what car i wanted, i was considering the S4. Honestly, i love how it performed, but i hated the the seats and how the whole dashboard and center councle was laid out. I love the new S5! It was a little out of my price range unfortunatly

oh by the way i would take a 335i coupe over the S5 any day!

I see a lot of people considering "the next size down", such as 3er or A4/S4. My wife has a 3er, which is a great car, but I've just got so used to the size of the 5er on the inside. When I ordered my first 5er, after 3 (three) 3ers, the dealer told me I would really struggle to come back to a 3er after driver the 5er... and so far he's right!

I regularly have people in my car, private and business, which probably means I think about having a spacious and comfortable ride, especially with others on board. When it was just me in the car, it was all about the driving experience and didn't care about the concept of passengers! I some times wish I had a 3er again because its such a great drive, but it just feels so cramped after being in a 5er... and no, I haven't put on weight since I had my 3ers

Anyone else struggle with going back to a smaller car after the 5er or is it like everything else, you just get used to it over time?

(As you may have already guessed, my short list is a 5er or a 3er !!)
