Not nobs they are dual power sockets. The Black nobs are plastic covers to replace the lighters..

ah, thanks. but why is it not available in germany? my dad's E60 also doesn't have them installed although there is the smokers package installed
I got them when I ditched the Alu Cube interior for Black Maple...cam as part of the option

We don't have them down here in Australia too. It's just a plain panel for us. In fact, we don't have any of the power sockets that the Europeans & US get in the glovebox and boot/trunk.

It's another nice to have item for US e60. Although I never use them, becuase it's rarely anyone sit in the back of my car.

i smoke but i don't smoke in the car. it gives that funky smell when you do, so i ditched the cigarette lighter too so no one is going to use it.
