Does anybody know what these little things are for? The one on top of my right front strut is finger tight, the one on top of my left strut is finger loose and when turned with my finger doesn't seem to tighten - just keeps turning.

I've had a knocking noise coming from my left front when driving over even the smallest bump or hole, and wonder if this could be associated with the problem?????

it's down inside the strut cover in the pictures below - a little star shaped thing that sits on the top of the strut, or shock, or whatever you call it.

For KW2, that will be the stiffness adjustment.

For what its worth, its the stock sport suspension on my car. No aftermarket suspension mods.

Would it still be a stiffness adjustment, and if so, why does it turn and not seem to tighten any while the right side one is already tight and can't even be turned?

Thanks guys (and gals)!

no one, really. I guess you west coasters are three hours behind, so you're probably still at work and all, but damn you can sure talk about tit's and ass all day - but not a serious question huh?

jk - i am usually patient and just go on with things and check back later, but this is really nagging at me, gotta figure out what these are.
