What should I do?
#1
Just lookin for some advice on how to handle the situation. I like many e60 owners love my car. It is the best driving car I have ever owned and is a technical marvel. On the other hand I have had my fare share of some what expected problems having one of the 1st built. Most of my problems have been software issues and fixed in one dealer visit. However I have the infamous squeeking door problem and have had it for some time now. I have brough my car in for this problem twice only to have the problem fixed for about 4 or 5 days before it returns. The 1st time was before the bulletin was realeased by BMW with the supposed fix and the replaced all the door seals. The second time they were aware of the carbaflo fix and told me it was done. Now I am still having the problem and am about to schedule an appointment. What would you recomend I do besides give them hell? Also have a squeeky passenger seat which they say they cannot mimick while car was in the shop. Any advice helps guys thanks.

I have the doorproblem and the squicky drivers seat problem too.. They used the tape on my doors and it doesn't help either.. I want them to do the carbaflow problem or change my doorseals to solve it..

like flowerfred says, it could be down to the chemicals used when your car is cleaned, depends how you clean it i suppose.
all i can say is i had the squeak doors and my dealer treated the seals and most importantly the grey flock material around the tops of the doors with silicone remover, they then applied carbaflo to both the seals and grey flock trim and the squeaks have not returned since this was done 7 weeks ago. my car has been washed a number of times since then.
if you doubt your dealer just buy the silicone remover and carbaflo and follow the service bulletin yourself, bit extreme i know, but at least you will know its been done right. good luck

My car is in the dealership for some other issues and this problem too. I'm gonna ask them to do the carbaflo treatment because last time they didn't want to do it.
