Found this broken plastic part between my driver seat and center console, under parking brake pull. Looks like a gear, likely from the seat. Moved the seat around a bit and it seemed fine. Anyone seen this before. How do I fix it?

Did a quick google search and looks like this piece, motor pinion gear, but this is an older BMW.

Thanks. The gear looks similar to your link. I agree its a gear from a seat motor. I cleaned the interior this weekend and moved the seat all around. No issues with the thigh support or any other movement. I was not siting in the seat so perhaps that matters. My seat is in the position that I need it to be so I guess Ill stop worrying for now. Thanks again.
