My Ride: 2009 530i E60 LCI
Default What my car has? :( 2009 530i E60 LCI - Headlights

Hi Everyone,

I just bought second had 2009 530i E60 (VIN is WBANU92000CU37956). I guess it is LCI model as interior matches with LCI upgrades and taillights has got LED things.

I am in a stage of learning my car, its functions etc. I am stuck with headlights. I thought they were XENON because low beams have Xenon kind lense. (see the attached pic). However, the other day, I took one of the low beam bulbs out and have seen that they are halogen H7. High beams are H7 as well.

For the time being, I have replaced low beam's regular H7 bulbs with 4300K bright H7 bulbs. (I think they are Phillips). I also replaced high beam H7 bulbs with 35% extra range versions.

How can I make low beams Xenon (preferably 6000K)? What involves, what should I buy etc?

Thanks in advance.

Below is list of VIN decoding result for my car. just in case if it helps to identify my car's configuration

I have a US market 2006 530xi with Xenon's. Here are the build codes:

S522A Xenon-Licht Xenon Light
S524A Adaptives Kurvenlicht Adaptive Headlights

There are a number of DIY for Xenon conversion you can find with Google.

Hiya! Just slip in a HID kit, many people with lci halogen headlights have done this, with awesome results.

If you have NCSexpert you can code out the cold checks and won't need an error free HID kit, otherwise you will do to stop getting errors.
