My Ride: Titanium Silver 2004 525i, style 116 alloys,
I agree,
even my 525i seems to give me a decent shove in the back when I give the pedal an urgent nudge!
I'm always amazed at how responsive the electronic throttle system is.

I was inspired when I read this this afternoon. Thank you.
So I was gonna take out my 3-week old 535D for a blast around the country roads when I got home.
But just as I arrived, the heavens opened and 1-inch hailstones plummeted out of the sky.
535D stays in garage.
Ah well, maybe tomorrow!

I got stiffled too. But in my case traffic as every one else seem to have the same idea.

accelerating away from 30mph in 3rd the car just keeps pulling and pulling with no need to change up until 80mph (at which point I had to start thinking about slowing down anyway).

Did it again today - nice long 400 mile round trip - with a peaceful lunch break out in the sunshine.
25 degrees for most of the afternoon - no point in being anywhere else.
Did a bit of ragging about on the way up (and quite a lot of overtaking), then on the way back I stuck my ipod on shuffle, the cruise on at 75mph and reset the fuel consumption, so I could amuse myself with an average of 45 mpg over the last 100 or so miles.
Feel a bit sorry for the british e60's though - mine really want's to go at 120 mph, but it's just too naughty over here.
oh - and don't let the rain and hail put you off - nice wet roads just give you more chance to flick the back end out around the bends.
