Absolutely.

What's really interesting is that most of the CANBUS messages are the same too. I've already sniffed out the tail light data, windows, doors, PDC, and iDrive positions.

I would like to try this too. So you just solder a wire to the radio and you can plug your ipod in playing through aux??

there are 3 wires on pic but we can see only 2 of them he soldered, where goes the 3rd wire ?

The 3rd wire is Ground, so will have been connected to the Ground on the Radio unit.

The E60 doesn't have a separate Radio unit, its built into the CCC. Rather than risk your CCC I would recommend people invest some time in learning how to use NCSExpert you can then put in your own AUX-IN without having to open up any module and solder anything.
