My Ride: The UDM

I have a factory HIDs installed on my car. And since day 1 my inner lights were DRLs during day and High beams when needed ( with the flick of a cabin switch). However, today i noticed that when i turned High beams on, my HID's just aimed higher to act as a high beam and my DRL's were off. Very weird. Any explanation ?

On my '04, the inner lights were the "flash to pass" lights but not the real high beams. Pull the stalk and they light up but did not stay on as high beams. The real high beams were the outside lights. I'm pretty sure that's it was on all pre-LCI cars...

With the projector headlights, there is a flap on the inside that drops down and allows more light to shine when the high beams are activated. There is only one bulb that controls this. As far as your drl's dunno..,
