??? Did you do a search on here? Basically it means you just keep the keyfob in your pocket and walk up to your car and as you lift up to open the locked door, it opens. Any door, as well as trunk. Memory options etc. You just push the start button with your foot on the brake and drive away. It is almost my favorite option. I have had my new 550 less then a week and I love it. Just order it trust me!!

Yep, nice gadget, but ... 1.000 ? ($1.200) !

My parents have it on their new 325i.

You can leave the key in your pocket, or purse.... and when you approach the car, the key communicates with the car by radio. The car recognizes the key, and when you reach for the front door handles, the car unlocks.

To start the car, you simply have the key inside the car, and press the Start button.

To lock the car you can use the key remote, as normal.... or you can simply touch your finger to the door handle.

On the 325i, if you hold your finger on the door handle to lock.... the mirrors fold in, as well.

Lastly, if you leave the key inside the trunk, and close the trunk.... it will automatically re-open, preventing lock outs.

This is a cool feature, although it can get annoying when valet parking, if you forget the key is in your pocket. I have left my parents 325i with the valets before, and kept the key.... so they had to come find me.

Also, the comfort access keys don't have recharging batteries, so you have to change batteries in them every few months or year, or so.... but the dealer should take care of this at service time.

It also changes all the pre-sets depending on which key gets to the car first...If your spouse also has a key and they get to the car before you, eventhough you're driving it will program the seats, radio, steeringwheel, mirrors, etc. to their key which can be a little anoying.

Comfort access, sport, and L7 are the best options in my opinion.

Arguably. Its just a gadget. Remotes & keys still work you know. For free.
But sure, it is nice. Enjoy now that you have it!

It's a nice gadget to have for $120 not $1200. It should be included in premium package.

Agreed...a couple of hundred dollars maybe...not more. The Acura RL has these features standard for much less $$$s. But of course, it drives nothing like an E60! :D
