Great document which explains the LCI quite well. It describes the new BMW Individual audio system audio which is now available everywhere, but the US. They forgot to mention that in response to rave reviews for the very expensive Logic7 audio system option, that were downgrading this very successful, must-have option, while keeping the Logic7 name and keeping the same high price.
The promo booklet only describes upgrades. They let us BMW Enthusiasts identify the downgrades. There is an applicable line in the Bible for this "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away." Or it this this line from English literature, "The lord giveth and the lord taketh away".

LCI applies to the balance of the refreshed models until they are replaced by the F10. We now have the e60 and the e60 LCI.

In the US the LCI is the 2008 model, everywhere else, I believe and please someone correct me if I'm wrong, the models are still 2007.
All e60 models made since spring 2007 have the same same core specification regrade and and are termed LCI by BMW.
