What does 600 pounds difference equate to

I am new to this forum and was just reading through a bunch of old posts. Very informative forum by the way.
I personally have a 545 but a good friend of mine just picked up an 06 530. At first I thought he must have gotten a slow car but I drove it today and it felt quite zippy and light. I came to research some information on this forum and the internet and was a bit surprised. He did some weight reduction things like tossing his spare. Getting lightweight rims/tires. He said about 25 pounds lighter in total for the wheels and tires and about 50 pounds for the spare/jack. He did a few other things and basically has about 100 pounds of weight reduction.
I was looking at the weight of the 545/550 and base cars weights-the 530 is roughly 500 pounds lighter. With his weight reduction that puts him at about 600 pounds lighter than me.
I always heard the old rule and calculated it roughly at 11 pounds equals about 1hp with the weight to hp ratio of his car which means compared to me with 325hp he should not be far off with his 260 plus 600 pounds less weight-should put him virtually at 325hp equivelents.
I am not a big racer on the streets especially but I would like to take him to the track and have a few runs in each others cars to make it fair. The only other mod he has is a supersprint exhaust and dinan cold air intake and throttle body upgrade.
I mean 600 pounds just sounds like an awful lot. He also weighs about 50 pounds less than me unfortunately
So make that 650.
Anyone ever ran a slightly modded 06 530 with a stock 545?
