Well I'm new here, not really I come here everyday but I decided to join today even though I don't own a car, very broke college student!?
.? But the reason why I love this car it just the share beauty of the design! I mean you will never mistake this car for anything else than a BMW, and I love Bangle for that! lol

I like the siren in the back that goes off everytime a damn F-16 takes off!!!
Honostly, I love the whole car. I have never looked back at any other car and am happy of it.

Pardon my long reply, but I really thought through and listed everything when I posted what I did not love, so I must be equally fair to list all of those things I do love.
I love everything about driving this car.
It goes great
Stops great
Turns great (I love the active steering)
L7 Sound is great (I do wish the L7 had custom presets like the premium sound / DSP in the E39)
HUD, HUD, HUD
I-Drive - Perhaps I'm one of the few that truly love it. Being able to control so much with one easy to find knob is great. I use it in conjunction with the voice command.
Adaptive headlights - Fun to watch, they seem to lead the car.
Styling is great. The style of the E60 makes all other cars look generic.
Flow like design of all interior parts especially the doors, center console and top of dash.
Simplicity of the gauges (again a true departure from the rest of typical "more is more" automotive design)
Style 124 Wheels
Flexibility of the i-drive display with the child window
Whatever that mesh-like headliner is made of...I love it.
Dave

Lots of good things to like about it.
1) Handling is unlike anything else
2) Very zippy for a 6 cylinder
3) I actually like the sport seats a lot
4) Auto climate works better than in past BMW's and Cadillacs I've owned
5) Love the display, including the amber colors at night (old fashioned but distinctively BMW)

Top 10 reasons, I bought and love my 545.
1. SMG is the best !! - the biggest factor on a 545i vs. all competitors
2. Handling ? No one compared.
2.5. Active Steering
3. Color combination with Grey and Anthracite Maple (black)
4. Styling
5. Heated, huge steering wheel
6. 325 hp 4.4L V8 !!!
7. Adaptive head Lights.
8. I drive
9. Heated seats
10. My smile on my face when I drive the car.

It's the whole experience, really...
Hard to describe. It's not just the way the car pulls, stops, corners, the comfort or the gadgets. It's more how it does EVERYTHING so well.
Not the fastest car on the but most certainly very fast. Not the most comfortable but certainly very comfortable. Not the best handling car on the road but certainly one of the best. And you can just keep going like that for literally every category.
Honestly though, I'm probably still in the "honeymoon" stage with this car so my remarks are probably not the most unbiased at this point.

The whole mechanical package - engine, step, suspension, steering, brakes - are the soul of this vehicle and work just superb together. Any empty twisty road makes me forget about the little (electronic and interior) problems.
