Is that standard for all european cars? I have it, but thought it was due to the alarm option.

My Ride: 530d (Jan 2005) premium pack, pro nav, steptronic
I hate slow i-drive response time (SatNav), bugs in real-time traffic information system, beige leather/interior that really shows the dirt and ... BMW service.
Looks like standard according to the manual. If you have moonroof(optional in Europe) it shud close it too...

Number one problem is quality control. I have had my car in so many times now for rattles, failed active steering (3 service visits), noisy run flats, CD player that did not work, faulty idrive screens, and more.
Worse than that was the quality of my service team - which has recently been replaced by a much better group of individuals.

What I hate about the E-60 is that I spend all of my spare time (and some not-so-spare time) on this forum.
Seriously:
Lack of Limited Slip Diff is my major complaint.
Cupholder (only as of the last month - when it got replaced)
And I can't keep the car under 80mph on the highway.

My Ride: 545i white
I think the most annoying thing with my car is the SEATBELT CHIME !!!!! I know its the law, but getting in and out of the car for a min. or two and that chime going on and on and on.......... plus the cupholders are useless.

My Ride: 2010 E63 AMG -- Palladium Silver/Black.
Love this car but looking to switch things up to keep things fresh. 2nd AMG in a row, but toying with coming back into the BMW fold!

i was just wondering if you guys could name just one annoyance in your car, one thing that really bothers you about your 5 what is it ?????

1. Lousy color and grain of wood on dash.
2. hate the wood trim on the door handles, would prefer it high on door, all doors.
3. lousy cupholders...and I hate the thought of cupholders in a car.
4. The I-drive disclaimer on every start up. (my biggest dislike)
5. Loose drivers seat under braking and acceleration.
6. Less than stellar straight line stability of Dunlop RunFlats.
