you guys already mentioned most of the problems that i hate. a few things i want to add:
seatbeat anchor rubbing side of the seat and making some annoying noises. the technician put some velcro like tape and killed the noise but it came back again .
i can't fit my ionizer in any of the outlet. they are just too small. it fitted perfectly in my e39 .
most important of all, my dealer .
other things i hate are:
it'll get dirty eventually. i hate wash car . well, i hardly wash it myself anyway .
why isn't my car a m5 ?

Sport seats- lumbar support only comfortable when fully deflated
Turn signal- should be able to choose from 3-5 "blinks"
iDrive- lose the initial warning; Menus should be easier to navigate (Sat radio- should be able to go? immediately to current station); iDrive screen should go COMPLETELY black when you turn it off
Steering Wheel- cheap plastic feel, too thin, nothing like my old "M" wheel
Not enough interior storage- what a complete waste of space all that crap in the center console is!
Power adapters- should remain ON- I would love to leave my iPod charging in the trunk, e.g.; Can anyone get to the one in the passenger well without having to crawl head first into the car??
Clutch Delay Valve- what a POS that is! Also, I wish 1st gear wasn' quite so tall, the car is a bit slow initially off the line
PDC-would love if it had a sensor to detect a parking curb so that I don't damage the airdam
I have grown to love the look of the E60, but the lack of door guards makes me a bit paranoid
With fold-down rear seats/ski bag, you can lock the trunk, but if someone breaks into the car it is possible to access the trunk by removing the skibag module.
These are not "hates," but minor annoyances- overall I am very thrilled with my 545 and consider it a big improvement over my old E39.

This is comphjrensive list and explains why I chose a steptronic over the 5 speed manual 530 E39 I traded at lease end for the E60 545i steptronic sport - I hated the delay shift and on a San Francisco hill you could not hold the car on steep grade..
1. The power plugs shutting off is stupid - I like to charge my cell phone in the car overnight.
2. PDC should look down and give numercial values on distance.
3. The I-drive warning is repetive.
4. The i-drive display should be dark when turned off!!
5. I have never had a car without temperature gauge - I miss it!
6. When a portable phone is tied -in - you lose a data field on the far left of the I-drive bottom line
7. The vocie commands for entertainment and HVAC are lost without ordering NAV - go figure!
8. Ligths car be left on indefinely internally if the doors are not locked!
9. IPOD - auxillary audio input should be standard
Generally the design is a postive bold step forward from the E39 and I like the innummerable upgrades.
Good Motoring...

Well, about the seatbelt warning sounds, no offence but we should actually be grateful. I currently own a lexus rx300 and a bmw 5 e60...The rx's seatbelt warning sound is much more irritating than the bm's,trust me.
