I'm new so naturally I have a million questions...
Anyways, this thursday I will be picking up my 04 530i. 48k miles on the clock. What maintenance would you do first?

Thanks
Greg

Oil change.
Can I do it in my garage without having to go to the dealer to reset the oil life monitor?

why oil change, brakes, air filter?
Shouldn't you go with what the i-drive says?

I just picked up mine last night and curious. If there is reasons then i should consider it.
thanks!

Would like to hear the reasoning.

I drives lie, they lie all the time .........no but seriously, I wound't do brakes but the oil & air filter yes. You never know if the previous owner or his shop just reset the I-drive without changing anything....this way you start out fresh.
