does anyone know and can tell me what they do? the manual doesn't say anything and i didn't find anything on it in a search of this forum.

the manual shows a mirro without the three buttons and a knob you can twist under the mirror, but my mirror has a red alarm light that can't be twisted and three buttons to the left of it.

Universal Garage Door Opener

They are your home link buttons that can be used for such things as opening your garage door, but they might be able to be programed for other uses. There is info in your owners manual to guide you through it, although some garage door opening remotes are harder to program.

I am only using one for raising and lowering the door. Seems like it works a little faster with 13.3 or it could be my imagination.

Universal Garage Door opener. I use all three. 1 to open the gate to my house, 2. To open the garage door at my parents house and 3. the garage door at my inlaws. The Red light is just the alarm light and maybe motion sensor. i.e. leave the windows down and arm the car. Stick your hand in the cabin and the alrm will go off.

It is an aftermarket BMW accesory over here in the netherlands. As soon as my new house is finished with the electric door I want to see to get it retrofitted.. Anybody with an hormann dooropener that works with the mirror???

I'm going with "it's your imagination" since I think the mirror is a standalone unit that simply requires a 12DC connection. I don't think there's any ties to the CIP software on the car...
