What is the difference between the normal automatic transmission and the sport automatic transmission. What is missing in the normal automatic transmission that the sport auto transmission has? And what features are in the sport steering wheel that are not in the regular steering wheel?

Ever try looking through bmwusa.com?

The sport auto tranny has the paddle shifters and different programming, as far as I know. But your being in Manila, I'm not sure if the same specs apply, as the U.S. Spec cars.

Sport steering wheel - good, non-sport steering wheel - not so much. For specifics refer to manufacturer's data

Sport implies paddle shifters and an even sportier (than the standard "DS" mode) shift program.

LOL I wouldn't know - my Xi is a stick, which is what a BMW should be in the first place well, my next car's an auto without the paddles though, so I should prolly just shut up right here

i actually really wanted to find a stick 535, unfortunately if you dont want to order a vehicle, finding a stick is like well... finding a stick 5 series, slightly harder then a needle in a hay stack.

If you use the search function, there are a number of threads discussing the differences and pros and cons of the Steptronic versus the Sport Automatic Transmission.

After ordering my first car 3 years ago.. I could never purchase another car from a dealers lot.
Unless you absolutely need the car that day, there is no reason not to place an order on a 5er to your specifications.
The best thing about ordering is having the car exactly like you want it.
