Default were valve stem seals ever updated on V8 engines?

i am just curious if bmw had updated the valve stem seals on the V8 engines at some point in time? or will even the new bmw's out there suffer the same fate?

Updated. Not too sure on the specifics, but it has something to do with the shape and not allowing oil to pool inside of them.

The newest I have repaired in my shop is a 2006 750 and 550 and 650. The seal redesign as i see and understand, seems to be a new material and a inner seal seating against the cylinder head/guide.
