I had the opportunity to take my car to Infinion Raceway (aka Sears Point) in Napa, CA last week.
Wowwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!
It was unbef***inglievable!!!
This was an all day event with lots of track time. There were only 25-30 cars there. We had several M3's, a Z3, a Ferrari, a Noble and I had the only e60.
We had instructors from Russel Racing school there to teach us newbies (me) and show us the ropes around the track. If you have ever been to Infinion raceway you know that is extremely tough. Almost all corners are off camber, constant elevation changes and it is really hard to get the corners right.
I made full use of the instructors and got some really good lessons. The car handles just amazingly. After getting used to the track and being passed up by several guys in the morning I was able to actually catch up and pass other drivers by the end of the day.
I left so much rubber at the race track it isn't even funny, and the brakes took a severe beating. But it was so worth it.
Here is what I thought about the car: It has great acceleration coming out of the corners. The active steering was great, very stable, precise, not twitchy at all. Always has great control. The active roll stabilization did work, body roll was minimal. The tires felt soft, but held up great.
I had so much fun I am looking forward to doing it again as soon as possible. It is hard to believe that I was driving a 4 door family sedan.
The only bad thing was that the track has relatively short straights. The fastest you can go on the straight is about 100mph before you have to slam on the brakes again to get ready for the next corner. Having done 125mph on the Autobahn with the car I was hoping to get it up higher this time. But that was not possible. I have to find a track where you can go and hit top speed. Does anybody have any recommendations?
A few pictures attached.

Yeah it is a blast to take it on the track. I took mine to Buttonwillow a couple months ago with the BMW CCA driving school, and next weekend will do it a again at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
