when the rpm reaches and "sits" anywhere between 1,000 and 2,000 in mainly first or second gear, sometimes third as well, i feel sort of a hesitation as the dial sort of "stutters up and down between 1,000 and 2,000 rpms.......... its weird, its not a real jerking hesitation but i slight back and forth hesitation, that mainly the driver can feel....

my 530i is automatic, and smooth otherwise with about 65k...... i tried to describe the "malfunction" best i could........ please help??????

this has been goin on for a while now, i just never really thought it was a big problem, now its getting very annoying...

any help is greatly appreciated

The problem you have is in the atomatic transmission, you have to change the converter, it is unbalanced and is usually a warranty from BMW go to your local BMW dealer and they will help you get a new one...
