Ever since yesterday afternoon (though I was driving particularly hard) my gas and brake pedal have been feeling weird. First for the gas pedal its really soft like it will go down very easily. (Though it doesnt bother as much as the brake) The brake pedal "feedback" is extremely soft its like theres no feel to the brake. I know they work because I can stop the car however the lack of any "braking sensation" has led me to step on it a bit harder then usual because theres no feeling that the car is stopping. In addition it doesnt help my confidence lmao when Im stepping on the brake and theres like no feel then all of a sudden brakeee.
Any suggestions or tips with whats wrong? (on a side note my car feels a lot faster? ) Is someone trying to kill me by messing with my brakes?

ah ha I love this car the problem has fixed itself! But a ABS/Brake message popped up then went away. After that the brakes started to have "feeling" again instead of just being completely soft. Guessing an electronic glitch messed it up first time around?

 

Sounds like an odd problem and hopefully it has fixed itself. What you describe sounds like brake fade. But I've pushed the 550i real hard, for a whole weekend on track at VIR and had minimal fade, MUCH less than a stock E39 M5. I have never heard of a soft gas pedal after driving hard.
