My Ride: 2011 550i; Alpine White/Black Dakota/MSport/SAT/IAS/Driver Assistance/ConveniencePkg/Prem Pkg 2/4 Zone AC/Side-Top Cameras/HUD & Black panel/BMW Apps-iPhone 4 Media/M Decklid spolier /Ventureshiled clear bra/ V1 -Ordered 4/9/11, Production 4/19, Shipped on Martorell 4/23,Arrived Port Hueneme 5/19,Delivered 5/21/11
So far , so good. No rattles, I drive miscues, tranny slam, loose seering wheel buttons, or any other issue. This car is issue free and I'm lovin' it.
I have about 800 miles on her, but have found it tough not to keep my foot off of the accelerator. A few quick starts have taken me into post break in 4500RPM territory, but I catch myself, and back off. Man, this engine is fierce and I am looking very forward to letting it go.
I have had multiple comments on the Silver gray/ Auburn color combo.Stunning, unique,How'd you get that?, are some of the comments. As you can see from the pics., this interior color is not as orange as some pics have shown, and also goes great with silver gray. I highly recommend Auburn!!!
Who ever said I Drive s*#ks just hasnt used it . Sure, it took a couple days to master it, but I cant imagine not having this awesome interface.
3 months was a long time to wait, but it was worth it.
Oh yeah, anyone ever heard a subtle fan type whir, after the car is turned off, coming from the single CD / NAV DVD area? I assume it is a fan cooling down the equipment that goes off after a while.
Cheers

2. no, its not that they have not used it, or are stupid .. its that their dealer UPGRADED the software on it ... so ... as a word of advice ... that most here will probably be able to give you is ... STAY AWAY FROM SOFTWARE UPGRADES/UPDATES as long as you can ... tell your SA that you DO NOT want to have the CCC updated.
its NOT said that you will have issues afterwards .. but very likely.
again .. congrats - GREAT color combo!!!
