My Ride: 2006 530i
i have noticed this past month that the first start-up on my vehicle sounds weak, takes longer for the engine turn on? Any other start ups are normal through out the day. I dont know if i need a new battery or is this a issue that needs no concern?? Dealer want to charge me $140 to assess!

Probably the battery, how long ago is the battery? 4-5 years seem to do it for the car. Interior lights dim and hesitation when turning the ignition points to a battery that is about to go. And if it takes a couple cranks to get it started--good chance the car won't start at night or in the morning.

I didnt changed my battey also the previous owner didnt and till today since 2004 no one change it but sometimes I feels like it is weak to start the car the only thing I do is I drive the car longer than normal to solve this problem
try driving your car for long distance cause our cars use alot of battery power short distance doesnt give a chance to charge our battries if the problem didnt solved then you need a new one
I hope I helped

I have the same problem at start up and I have a brand new 100 Ah battery?
I changed it 2 weeks ago on a 2004 520i. It comes and go. Yesterday was a problem but ok this morning?
