Default Water Pump Brands

Hey Guys,

Looking to change my water pump, thermostat and expansion tank pretty soon, anyone have any suggestions on aftermarket brands? I don't want the OEM pump only because it uses a composite impeller that is known to break down. I've seen GRAF and Hepu and not sure which one i should get out of the 2. It's a $40 different between them.

Actually there is a $11 difference between the two. GRAF 40.75 and HEPU $51.75. I did nto go with either. I bought a URO parts for $25. Has been going strong for over 2 years on an 05 530i. I can't tell you which one to get because I do not know which car you have to make sure I suggest the right thing. I can suggest if you have an 05 530i URO parts is the way I went.

I would stick with URO Parts for yours unless you have a preference. ÜRO PARTS 11517586779 is $73.79 via Rock Auto. Hepu is $130.50, Graf 123.50 and Sareli is $126.50 (which was BMW supplier for previous models w/metal impeller) via Pelican Parts.

Salari is a good option HERE.

I'd stay away from Uro parts especially with a critical item like a water pump.

I said Uro part because I I went with Salari (replaced everything you should replace when swapping out the pump) and it left me stranded within a year. So I figured whats the point bought a Uro part and it has lasted longer. Obviously its preference with any maintenance part but there was a reason why I suggested what I suggested.
