Where and what did the water get into, CCC, AMP, Speakers? How long ago? Get deoxit and spray the affected area. I know you can get it from Radioshack but it is a tiny can for $17.9*

it has happened over a year but I was out of the country. Now, I am back so the base sound is still bad. Somebody mentioned to replace the woofer/subwoofer/base?

Over a year ago, corrosion definitely had time to set in. You still didn't say where the water got in and what might have been exposed. Replacing the woofer lt might or might not fix the issue. You need to troubleshoot first, could end up being just cleaning wires or connectors, I wouldn't go and start replacing stuff.

I assume you're referring to the underseat subs or the amp in the back...but I am guessing the subs due to water gettin in the door seal. It's not your CCC that would be next to impossible.

If its under your passenger seat it could also be that you electronic box (e-box) drain is clogged. When that happens, during heavy rainfall water overflows from the ebox to the passenger footwell.
This happened to me this year, fried a few of my components.

Hello Mate,
Could you explain how to fix this? I have similar problem with water in my footrest. Cannot locate where its coming from? where is the (e-box) drain located?
Thanks in advance.

hi ya
this is to be done on the pollen filter under the bonnet near the bulkhead, it gets clogged with leaves and oveflows into the footwell and also can damage your ecu which is on the drivers side, so is worth clearing out!
Pull the rubber stip across the whole front of the scuttle off.
3 x 1/4 turn 13mm hex nut plastic clips.
1 small torx screw to strut.
Slide middle plastic bit across, lifting the leg with the latch on it.
Lift out the rubbery bit by the hinge.
Lift out the plastic pollen filter tray.
clean all surrounding area n shouldnt have this problem again till it gets clogged again lol
hope this helps!
a quick google search should provide you with pictures and a proper diy on how to do it!
