two months ago my car wouldn't start so it was towed to the dealer and they found out that a leaky tail light caused water to build up around the battery.
Anyway battery and tail light were changed.
Last night my backseat heater wouldn't work so this morning i opened the back panel to check the fuses, and guess what i found? A pool of water around my battery. I closed that sh$%&t and went back in.
Did anyone experienced similar problem?
Please help original warranty running out on the 31st.

This is a problem that others have had...including myself. My car did not start 4 times several months apart. The dealer tried changing the battery. Eventually they found the same thing, water under the battery...the battery acid and water corroded through the battery pan and the car pan below that! the car had to go in to replace and repaint the battery pan and under pan of the car. I returned the car as lemon before my warranty ran out.

That sounds scary. I dropped off the car today at Budd's BMW same attitude as usual> The worst is those kids working there who think they know it all and seen it all. Anyway he was trying to guess and was looking for water dripping marks thinking it's a piece of drywall. The car is there we will see what happens.

OK, the stealer said that the water was leaking from a pressure vent in the trunk. Apparently when you shut the trunk there is pressure that builds up. The air that stays inside is released through a vent. What ever that means.

The battery gas vent tube? How would water get in there?
