I have 2005 BMW 525i and it has run about 30000 kilometres. The two year BMW warranty for the car will run out in about two months. I have had several problems with the car which were fixed by the dealer. The steering wheel was making noise, so I had the change the active steering module and some steering column parts. The have changed the rubber list on all doors, because the doors were making noise while driving. I was therefore wondering whether I should check my car for other problems before the warranty runs out.
Does anybody know about specific problems with this car make that I should check? Thanks in advance.

Production month: 10/2004

It never ceases to amaze me how companies like BMW screw you to give as little as possible.

You get 2 years, UK gets 3, US I understand gets 4!

It's just not fair.

It really is amazing, mine is a 2005 525i with a build date of 09/2004 I have a 4 year Warranty along with 4 years of free maintainence or 50 K which ever comes first. How can BMW do that?????????? that in each Country the warranty is different. ????

So is the maintanence package.
Here in the UK 5 years maintanence and service costs over ?1,300 ($2500)

It'ssimple:give the customer what your product needs to be competetive and either absorb the opportunity cost or ask the consumer to pay.

A 50,000 mile warranty in UK would not be perceived as competetive and some manufacturers are giving 5-year warranties.

Market forces.

That's just down to negotiation (or maybe spend level).

I got ?70 fuel (full tank anyway), mats, bluetooth cradle and chrished plate transfer fee thrown in.

Mind you I made it a deal-maker.
