08 535XI. Dealer just quoted me 4400 for three years of warranty extension. This is already with a 250 good client discount . Broken down three years, it comes to a little over 1450 a year or 122 a month. Does this sound right. I have yet to speak with other dealers and investigate after market warranties.

Noticed today that i had a quote at the very end of my email while doing some clean-up. here's the essence of the email body and i have not included the "author". also, this quote goes back only a few months, but before my car went out of the 4/50k factory warranty. if you would like the entire email i can fwd to you---just msg me here.
"For the Platinum 7 year / 70K plan it would be $4,130. That model is fairly expensive for the BMW factory coverage. I also have an aftermarket warranty with Warranty Solutions (owned by Wells Fargo) available if you are interested. Just to compare you can do a 3 year (from purchase date) or up to 70K for $3,286. This plan is an exclusionary policy so everything in the car is covered except for what is listed in the "some limitations" section of the brochure."

Pay attention to phrases such as "up tp xxx" or "from purchase date" because the actual coverage may be less than what you think.
I've had good good experiences with Fidelity Warranty.

I bought mine for my 08 535 back in July and have already used it to fix 3 old leaks.
I also have one for my 08 Corvette.
I went with a 4 year 40,000 mile plan and a 100.00 deductible which cost me around 2200.00
They have all sorts of plan options.
The work was approved by GMPP [ no questions asked ] and was done at the local BMW dealership.
The invoice was 6300.00 and all it cost me was my 100.00 deductible.
Call Dennis @ Fichtner Chevrolet 866-596-8677 and tell him Len from San Diego recommended him.
GMPP is a first class warranty plan.

I'm looking for this as well. So I found this USA direct protect sells a warranty from Enterprise Financial Group for $3326 48 month or 50,000 miles.
Let me know what do you think, is it good one?
here is a coverage:

I've never heard of the Enterprise warranty and they might be OK to deal with.
I picked the GMPP because I talked to several shops including the local BMW dealership about GMPP and
they all said that they were great to deal with. Never a problem and they also said that some other
warranty companys are very difficult to deal with.
The Major Guard warranty covers almost everything except for wear items.
The plan you are looking at is different than mine cause it's a 50,000 mile plan and mine is a 40,000
but you are paying 830.00 per year and my GMPP plan for a 4-40,000 was around 565.00 per year. It
also depends on your deductible.
Pick wisely.
