I think that ipp is suggesting that purchasing a Sport variant E60/61 somehow makes you a "wannabe". Which is odd, as "wannabe" suggests aspiring ro something you're unable to attain, and simple maths shows if you can affoed a Sport, you can afford the corresponding SE model. Maybe the "wannabe" needs to be transposed? ;-)

It's just occured to me that maybe he's tyring to say the SE is better looking than the sport, but obviously that's just silly! ;-)

...nothing wannabe about an M-sport, as it costs more than the 'normal' E60 and some of us dont need 507bhp,

clived, you're definitely not posing, luv your ride

Get the sport kit if you want it.? However, my opinion is that you shouldn't make your car look like a M series car by putting M badges all over your car.? I see that a lot over here.? However, they leave the original badge on.? Have you ever seen an M3 316?? I have, damn poser.

Yes, but have you seen a 316i M3 ? Frien here took M3 badge off, changed the wheels and put 316i badge on.

Awkward M-Pack
Nice looking E60/61

I love the M pack
I also love the SE but with dechrome and wide wheels.

Believe me the 535D sport is the real driving package - best car in the real world IMHO.

Remember what the sport pack did for the E39?

has everyone noticed in the last week or so the amount of 535d sport on the forum
and I bet that by this time next month there will be two fold' it doesn't matter if you have a M look or not BMW no it's all about choice both styles look fantastic
but every time a new shape comes out BMW no the people will buy.
The sporty look isn't for every one' but the SE look was and is clearly for all of us

The M-pack is beautiful, I was provoking with 'awkward' .... But I think that a "hand picked" non m-sport e60/61 is the best looking e60/61. The M-pack is a safe way to get a nice looking car with no effort. Get a non M-Sport with high gloss shadowline and a couple of nice rims etc. etc... Add your own personal touch to the car. And not M's... It's not the real thing anyways..
