Do you need to have blue tooth installed to have voice recognition operating

anyone attempted to change the male voice that comes with the voice_RE/BT?

I dont feel confortable with that male voice. I would prefer a lady with a THICK accent.
Something like "Thank you mirgster amigo" -- meant write mirgster..i know you know what accent i am talking about.

Mines a lady too - she's nice but she doesn't always understand me.

Interestingly, the voice-recognition gal hiding away somewehere within my UK-spec car's innards appears to have an English accent whilst the sat-nav gal has an American('ish) one. What do you get in the USA?

Here's a link to a past thread that has an article about the humans behind the voices...

You guys are all lucky. My gal only speaks German even though my I-drive and all manuals are in English and I can't find the German voice command list anywhere online. Haven't had time to take her to the hospital for the brain transplant yet but it's on my to do list.
