Hi folks
I have a new 520d which doesnt have Voice Control (or at least it wasnt ordered with it). It is still surprising though that when I press the Voice Control button on the steering wheel the female voice still speaks. She doesnt recognise any of my voice commands, but I would have thought that she would not speak at all if I did not have the functionality
Cheers

Hehe didn't know that... And if you have the professional nav system and bluetooth, are there any voice commands?
For some other strange reason, you can get the voice control enabled as a retro-fit for less money than it costs to get it at order point. Go figure...

For some strange reason, no you can't use any voice controls (unless you specified "Extended Voice Control" or you bought it as part of the Media Package from MY 2006 on).

Yes, I did. I got it activated as one of the first dutch custumers who ever tried. I don't know what I paid for it, but it was a lot less then ordering from the factory (wich wasn't possible for dutch specced cars at that moment).
I found the topic...
Scroll through this post... I paid 245 in euros

The gal does the navigation and your (new) boyfriend does everything else. Rumor has it they are not even married and live together on the same chip
