i recently downloaded (with tips from from another forum) a video of making of the e46, it is very interesting to see the process from rolled metal to the car being driven out of the plant.
the video is in german and is 23 minutes long.
i found photos and illustration on a german bmw site for the making of the e60, however i am sure a video exists. anyone?
i was in dingolfing and was amazed by the works of the BMW's factory. the part where the chasis dips into the anoized bath and the painting machines were a sight to see/feel, simply marvelous.

 

where did you download the video from?

 

I remember seeing a link posted somewhere for that video. It wasn't really a video about the E60, it was more about the Dingolfing plant (which produces the 5, 6, and 7 series cars).

It was kind of an interactive flash deal that showed animations and things that showcased some of the technology in the plant. I did a quick look to see if I could find it but can't at this time.

Someone will find it soon, I bet.

At the end of june (25) I'm visiting the Dingolfing Plant to see E60 production.
Maybe I can get a video at their 'souvenir' shop or something
Taking pics/video will probably be forbidden I think... huh I'm sure it will be forbidden!
