For the initial issue, It could be an electrical issue in the A/C compressor, first check the battery. Check refriderant levels too.
But thinking about it, your issues could be related. because if your put the AC on it puts load on the engine and your RPM's jump which they really shouldn't. So Thinking about that, the engine is demanding more for some reason when load is on and so If you fix the issue I'm sure these issues will go away. But then again it could be two separate issues.

Thanks for the insight Achtung.

Battery is fully charged now after trickle. I will check refriderant levels.

I agree, I had checked the DTML pump when the error first occurred, hoses were fine and connected, but the pump may have been gone anyways. I was planning on changing at some point, didnt think it would have had this effect though.

Hopefully they are interrelated. O2 error just came on as well...time for some work

Appreciate your help and will get back with cause and solution...hopefully.

Also, you may have a bad ignition coil. My car was hesitating, and the RPMs would drop at idle with the A/C on. Pulled engine information with GT1 and it pointed me to cylinder 3 misfiring. Checked the spark plug, looked fine, normal color (brown), so I replaced ignition coil and now engine is all fine.

+1 I had the same issue, but I just changed my plugs 3 days ago and all is fine.

car threw a P0130 code, O2 sensor ordered. Will see if this helps with the issue.
