Vibration won't stop!!! 2006 530xi on 351m wheels
Ok I picked up a set of oem 351 m remanufactured rims of eBay. I ended getting some inexoensice tires for now. They're called Nankang. I got them balanced twice at the local shop. They Coudnt stop the vibration thst I'm getting once I hit 50 mph. I'm getting i in the steering wheel and also the seat So I took the car to national tire and battery. They balanced them twice. Also checked the front end. Coudnt find anything unusual. Beside the fact that tge tires are cheap. So he's telling me that the reason I'm getting vibrationis due to cheap tires. Can this b true??? I was thinking of getting wheels road forced to see but not sure if that would make any difference. Also had a tech tell me that I need hub centric rings. Which I disagree because all the later BMW share same hub size I believe. So basically I'm confused on what to do. Any advice??? Can it b the tires? The rims seem true

had the same problem with my tires/rims
rebalanced 3 times - still vibrations tires were brand new accelera, don't know if good or cheap since they came with the rims. - still vibrations got hub centric rings, hub centric rings fixed everything. - no vibrations. they cost less than balancing the tires so try that instead of re-balancing some more. |
If the pilot opening in the wheel is not the same size as the outer diameter of the hub that acts as centering pilot then you need the centering adapter rings.
If the wheel is the correct ID to fit over the OD of the hub then that is not the problem and the tires could be the problem. |

same issue on my old set of m6 replica rims..later i found out the rim bore was 74.1 and the hub was 72.56. got a set of hub centric ring 72.56 to 74.1 and solved everything. Double check the rim bore size on your wheels.

Get the rings, for everyone BUT me, they work! You can get the $12 polyurethane ones at most tire and rim shops and install them yourself. It is likely that your hubs are too small for your wheels. As a member above already mentioned and told you the measurements.

Y didn't they work? Just spoke to the guy at the local rim shop and he's telling me that if the rims are oem (which they are) I should not have to get hub centric rings. That if I do install I'm going to get more vibrations. The mystery continuos
