Yesterday, vibration in the steering wheel at almost any speeds, was thinking of taking in for alignment and high speed wheel balance. Today, VERY minimal vibration, nothing like yesterday and the car is a joy to drive again....Any ideas?
Literally today is 10 times better than yesterday and i've noticed this before a couple times.

My car exhibits the same behavior at 100k (07 MY). How many miles do you have? I'm pretty sure mine is due to weak torsion arms.
If looking at front suspension (wheel off) the arm towards the back of the car. Mine are so badly cracked it is very evident they need replacement.
Another sure sign that is the problem is bump steer
ie. When you go over a speed bump with no hands on the wheel (slow speed helps) the wheel turns a good bit left or right. We have angled speed humps in my hood and when I got over them the wheel makes a 1/4 turn each way if I don't hold on.

Just turned 61,000 miles so I would hope worn suspension components would not be the issue. The tires only have 15,000 on them and are in good shape. They are however the real small 30 and 35 series sidewalls. On days when the vibration is bad I have tried coming to a stop, turning the wheels full right then full left just to see if the car exhibited any different behavior and it did not, the vibration remained.
