Vibration at 20 mph
I have an unusual vibration at 20 mph....the vibration goes away around 15 mph and 30 mph...very odd.
I have re-balanced my tires, checked my rotors, checked my tires etc....none of those seem to cause the problem.
Has anyone experienced this before? I had my control arms replaced about 5,000 miles ago. I wonder if it is a strut?
The vibration is coming from the front of the car.

I agree with the bent wheel. Something similar happened to my old E36 and it all went away after I replaced all 4 wheels. G/L
My '06 had a noise coming from the front right similar to a flat spot on a tire. Slight ticking feel in the steering wheel noticable in street driving at those speeds but disappeared at highway speed. Turned out to be the right front wheel bearing. Changed at 65k miles problem solved. Good luck!

Thanks.....I am hoping my wheels are bent. Any idea what the cost was for the wheel bearing?

Thanks for all the replies.
As for the bent wheel, when they balanced the tires, would they be able to tell if the wheel was bent?

It does not make sense to me that a bent wheel would produce vibration only at under 30mph. The key speed for vibration for a bent wheel (18" or 19") is around 30-35mph and 68-70mph.

The best advisors can spot a bent wheel. Most balancers, however, are not trained, and many bent wheels do not result in a road force warning. The road force machine is told to "fix" the problem without realizing that the problem is deeper than a good fix.
