Where are you located ? and what year? I thought I remember reading BMW made 525s with SMG in 2004 and that was it.

My Ride: 525i.SMG
the cars got 70k on the clock right now..and yeah im assuming it has the original clutch?..do they go often? dont think my car has enough power to harm the clutch at all..tell me more about the smg clutch tho and how it works?...i havent looked into it all that much...but id really like to know how it all works

Wow 70k! thats good to know. I dont think they go often... I havent heard anyone having to replace their SMG clutch yet... so I was curious how many miles you had. I know someone who has done like close to 30 Acceleration Assist on their car with is basically dumping the clutch at 4000K rpms with their 550 and the clutch is still "ok"
so it seems like it should hold up. Heres all the info you can ever want on the SMG transmission.
